USA CA Santa Anita Modern Mid Century Atomic Eames Era Duck Soup Tureen in Aqua & Brown
Santa Anita Pottery began around 1939 in Los Angeles, California. Operations ceased sometime in the late 1950s or early 1960s.
This lovely piece has withstood the sands of time quite well. It will be a beautiful addition to any retro, mid century, or vintage home. The aqua and brown go together so nicely and truly reflect the colors of that time and are still so popular today. This friendly and useful duck stands a high apx 12" and is apx 13" in length. He looks like he would hold a full 3-4 quarts of soup, stew, cookies, and more.
You can easily see the minor flaws in him with the large pictures we have provided. Overall I would rate him a 8.5 on a 10 scale with no damage that would lesson his use. He is a very nice piece of vintage USA California pottery. We have seen small ones in the same style marked 1958.
